A former Edmond missionary convicted of child sex crimes lost his request for a new trial Tuesday but an Oklahoma City federal judge did throw out three of his seven guilty counts. Matthew Lane Durham, 21, could still spend the rest of his life in prison for sex crimes against children at an African orphanage in 2014. Jurors in June found Durham guilty of seven counts of engaging in illicit sexual conduct in foreign places with six girls and one boy. All were under the age of 16.
